Fine Modern Art

The essence of this website is dedicated to the new modern abstract paintings by contemporary artist Olga Rykova. Abstract art as you may well know is a long way from realism, yet realism has it's merits, showing that it's not the style but the creator that makes a work unique.

Olga begins her abstract paintings from photographs which reach out to the artist inside her. That feeling which makes her want to create artwork is the same feeling which drives her through the process of creating something completely unique. Once Olga has a picture in mind she then strips away whatever she considers unnecessary until she is left with the essence of the scene. Which is the color, texture, shape or any other combination of factors that’ll bring out the vision she has for the finished art piece.

Abstract art does not have to be completely striped from anything realistic, just reduced to the point where realism no longer matters, where it’s not the original scene itself that engages the eye but the creation in front of you.
